Website giving "not secure" message to those clicking through via link in email
-
Hi there,
I've suddenly found that links added in my email provider emails, when clicked, get an unsecure message (see attached image). I'm pretty clueless about these things so don't know how to fix this or why it's happening. I know I've done something weird with my url but everything was working before. Can you help?! -

Hi there,

You can fix it by enabling SSL on your project from the dashboard.

@Wassim Thanks for this, but it's still not working. Is this how it should look? I clicked the enable ssl button and it gave me the key and value numbers - I'm not sure if they're things I should keep secret or not. And the original app drag CNAME is there too.
Seems strange that this isn't more straightforward and well explained, given I'm using Go Daddy - one of the most popular places to get domains.
Any suggestions?

@Naomi-Crain your www CNAME should be something else now, the value is displayed when you click on main domain & SSL.
This can't be more straightforward as it requires manual actions on your side on GoDaddy and we can't do it for you.We also provide domain purchases and transfers where it is fully automated and requires no setup to enable SSL on your website.

@Wassim I guess what I'm asking is, where your instructions say "CNAME Key:" and then it gives the long unique code, and "CNAME Value:" and then gives that long code, do I put them in to Go Daddy like my screen shot above? (both "key" and "value" in the Name column? Or does the unique Key code go in the Name column and the unique Value code go in the Value column, so it would look like:
CNAME [key code] [value code]I hope that question is clear. I guess I asked before why it's not clearer because you've not told me these kinds of details.
-
Ok, a CNAME is composed of a KEY and a VALUE, the ones we provide.
If you have a name column it must be just a label to understand why you put it so you can name it AppDrag.Don't hesitate to show me screenshots even with the values, it's not meant to be private as anyone can see it.

@Wassim Thanks Wassim - I think I have figured this out but still waiting to see the link now working properly. I have attached a screen shot of what Go Daddy has named their columns - in case someone else ever is confused to. Their "Name" column is where your Key code goes. I have now entered the final www code too, so hopefully it will all work soon.

@Naomi-Crain you're welcome, I opened your website this morning and I'm glad to see it's now secured with SSL .
Have a nice day!
