@jbenguira ๐Ÿ˜Œ this entails sharing right? Not crud permissions where e. g people are given a profile and permitted to publish a blog post to an appdrag site? What i would like to achieve is registration og users with different permissions a la wordpress

        Hey Linda,

        You can share :

        • Full access to blog (CRUD)
        • Categories access to blog (still CRUD to specific categories)

Would you mind showing us what WordPress permissions look like and what you'd like to have from them?

@Wassim sure thing ๐Ÿ™‚ what I am specifically interested in is the permissions given to the "author role". If this is already possible then that is greatโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ mind letting me know how to find the area where i can set the permissions on the dashboard?
Administrator โ€“ this is the default role assigned to you when you create a WordPress site. Administrators can perform all actions, including installing new themes and plugins.

Editor โ€“ can edit all posts/pages but cannot work with plugins, themes, etc.

Author โ€“ can create, edit, and publish their own posts, but cannot edit other peopleโ€™s content.

Contributor โ€“ can create their own content, but cannot publish it or upload their own media files.

Subscriber โ€“ can manage their profile information, but cannot perform any other actions. This is the role for new user accounts by default, though you can change that.

Here is a link to an article where you'll be able to see some screenshots of the wordpress dashboard

              Hi Linda,
Yes we've been looking at it. For the moment we don't plan to integrate it this way.
You can always create a category to allow a specific Author to write/publish articles without affecting others' articles

Just the ability to set similar permissions with regards to publishing posts on appdragโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ I have had a look at the New role feature on appdrag but cant quite find it on my dashboard? Could you please let me know how to access it so I can check it out?

@Wassim creating a category for each author and only allowing them to edit in that category is a great idea, bravo.

Simply click on the cog next to All for the user you want to define specific categories for him.

                    @Daniel-Mulroy thanks ๐Ÿ™

@Wassim hey again. Just a quick question with regards to giving users access to a category. Will they then be able to post their post and assign a general category to their post? Lets say the post is about cars and other users also blog about cars Will they be able to assign cars as a category for their post?

When a user has access to specific categories, they don't see the general categories, they'll only be able to assign categories they're allowed to use.
