Blog Listing per Category

Hi there,

I've been trying to get this to work on https://www.mtb.rocks under the section 'CATEGORIES'. But whatever I do, I can't seem to get this to work.

The Category is 13- MADEIRA

The following direct links work:

https://www.mtb.rocks/blog/6-.html

https://www.mtb.rocks/madeira.html (I made a URL Redirection)

But the button keeps going to https://www.mtb.rocks/categories/

I tried to customise the blog listing category page, but the setting 'Fetch category from ULR parameter' does get saved and reverts back to 'All'.

Also what setting the website page in the button's link to a certain blog category, this seems to mysteriously change to another category.

Long story short; either I'm doing something really stupid or there's a serious bug in the blog listing functionality.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Oops ... instead of giving the directs link(s) to the blog listing per category, I mentioned links to the blog.

My main challenge is to get these links working from the category buttons in my home page ...

Hello,

You should edit your categories to set a meta URL

Then your pages will work this way (if you setup germany for example)

https://www.mtb.rocks/categories/germany

The displayed page will be the one you setup with customize blog listing category page

(you don't need to setup any rewriting / redirections)

Is it an idea that you or one of your colleagues spents a few minutes with me online to look at this issue at the expense of being wrong? The latter meaning that if it's my stupid mistake, I'll pay for your time ...

Did you try this URL? We should definitely add more info on the category section on the blog editor and support. I'll add it to our improvements' list.

The direct link https://www.mtb.rocks/categories/germany works and when I ling the URL to a button, this also works fine.

What doensn't work is linking it to the website page. The url that gets created the is https://www.mtb.rocks/https://www.mtb.rocks/categories/germany and that doesn't go anywhere, see screenshots. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this a small glitch? Anyhow, I now (think) I now how it works

After doing this, you need to redo your links in the homepage, then save your page, then republish
and then it will work

it looks like some things do not get refreshed properly when republishing. Even when force reloading the page in Chrome. I found out that if some links do not work properly and I wait a while (for example relook at the same issue again the next day) that it is the solved. This might explain why it's not working when I'm developing and testing but that it works when you take a look at the issue ...
