Two-factor Authentication need felt "hours"

Nothing agaist Two-factor Authentication, but I wait nearly 5 minutes every time till the passcode comes. My email is forwarded from my hoster to gmail.com
Can I switch this off? If I just want to change a typo that is much too long -:( -

we are thinking about adding another 2FA, with a TOTP generated by an auth app (Authy, google authenticator, any other ...)
It's in our roadmap but I don't have any ETA yet
