white label + domain
Linda MacDonald last edited by Linda MacDonald
hey there folks
I have the epp code and was wondering how we map a domain accross from another registrar? I tried the 'add domain from other registrar' option but when I hit the 'add button' nothing much is happening. Then I tried hitting the 'buy new domain' and that doesn't quite want to do anything either...what am I missing?
yesterday night one our our providers had an outage, it's now fixed, please try again now
FYI with an EPP code you can do a transfer of your domain by following this guide:
or connect your domain as an external domain

hey there @Joseph-Benguira excellent I'll give it another go will the white label settings still be available once I map accross - I can still upload a logo and write information in the whitelabel section, etc?
Yes you can still change the settings while domain is in transfer

@Joseph-Benguira but not after the domain propagated? In other words I should have all these informations in order before I map the domain right?
In fact you can change them at any time
One important thing, be sure to validate your sender email address (the one you have configured in the WL settings)
To validate it, open the newsletter module (on any project) then click on ALIAS on the left, there type your sender email address and start the validation process. This will send you a validation email with a link to click. Once clicked your email is validated and can be used for White labeled communications.
Hi @Joseph-Benguira does the email forward functionality only work when I transfer the domain to you platform? When I transfer my domain t your platform, Am I gonna lose the time left in my renewal contract with the current provider in my case GoDaddy in my case ? Consequently, you gonna charge me a renewal fees in USD which's could be very expensive in this case. Am I right ?
This post is deleted!
@Ikbel-Hammami Hey Ikbel, yes indeed, email forward works only if you buy or transfer your domain to us.
When you do a transfer it's extending the domain validity by 1 additional year
FYI we are generally cheaper that godaddy for domains renewals
And yes we charge only in USD, it should not add additional fees but some banks might have different rules.

@Joseph-Benguira Just to clarify so if I transfer my domain name from Goddady which's end in 12/06/2021 you extend that by 1 year meaning I'm not gonna pay for renewal until 12/06/2022 is that correct? As you know Goddady charge in CAD so giving the fact that you accept only USD so you don't compensate the currency exchanges?
and this what Goddady ask me for if I wanna go ahead and do the transfer: Domain transfer checklist
1-Make sure your administrative contact email is current. (It's where we send your transfer authorization code.)
2-Verify that the new registrar will set up your DNS zone files. If you don't do this, your website and email could go down.
3-Start the domain transfer at your new registrar. (We email you to ensure you requested the transfer.)
4-Authorize the transfer with your new registrar. (Use the transfer authorization code we email you when you're done here.)
5-We email you confirmation when your transfer completes, usually not more than 5-7 days.
Last but not least, How to answer back from the same email forward that has been created ?
@Joseph-Benguira Do you accept Paypal as payment method ?
- yes this will add +365 days to your current expiration date so your assumption is correct
- As I said before, we charge only in USD, and we are cheaper than godaddy, after that it's up to you to take a decision
- please check our documentation: https://support.appdrag.com/blog/55-Configuring-Gmail-to-Send-Emails-from-my-New-Address.html?category=6
but you can also real mailbox from Gsuite, Office 365, Zoho or any external email service if free email forwards is not enough for you
- We accept only payments through STRIPE (all kinds of credit cards are supported) for invoices below $500
for invoices about $500 it's possible to pay them with Wire transfer as well
@Joseph-Benguira Thank you for answering my questions. So if I moved my domain to your platform I would not pay until 12/06/2022 Am I right?
@Joseph-Benguira As well do you offer a discount for 3 or 5 years extend period ?
@Joseph-Benguira just to clarify regarding the discount. for example GoDaddy offer some incentives of 25% to 30% discount code, do you guys offer the same offers or the domains renewal is a fixed price of 50$ for .io in my case ?
"So if I moved my domain to your platform I would not pay until 12/06/2022 Am I right?"
for the domain name that is correct, for the hosting this is unrelated
"As well do you offer a discount for 3 or 5 years extend period ?"
you can renew in advance for the same price
"GoDaddy offer some incentives of 25% to 30% discount code"
That's true, but they also charge 50 - 100% more than us!
If you prefer we can double our prices and send 25% discount ... but I'm pretty sure it's making more sense to keep our low prices and not having discount codes
@Joseph-Benguira 1- for the hosting you mean the annual pricing to use your platform in my case I bought the AppSumo deal for 5 websites. Am I correct ?
@Joseph-Benguira When I was going to transfer my domain the form asked me to pay 50$ ? But you said it's free to transfer until 12/06/2022? Did I miss something ?
@Joseph-Benguira What does it mean the option of keeping the name servers ?
