My Appdrg generated site map has .html at the end of each url eg. https://www.naturalautismsupport.com/blog/3-Natural-Autism-Treatment.html

Yet Google search console sees the page URL https://www.naturalautismsupport.com/blog/3-Natural-Autism-Treatment with no .html. As a result, Google search console sees my pages as not submitted in sitemap.

How can I fix the sitemap and remove the .html form each url?

        Hey @Warren-Gouin
Please check this article to setup your site to not use .html extension
        https://changelog.appdrag.com/features/extensionless-url

Once done your page will return a canonical url without .html extension and then Google will update it's index (takes few days to few weeks on Google side)

Hi @joseph-benguira. Thanks for your reply. WIll the sitemap update the URL to remove the .html? The canonical in google is correct, but the sitemap has .html for all links, so may canonical pages come up as not submitted in sitemap.

@warren-gouin the sitemap will still contains .html in the urls, but it's not important
the sitemap is a list of links that will be visited by google spider, when google visit a page, only the canonical url is retained and indexed 😉

@joseph-benguira, ok thanks. That's good. One of my pages was taking a while to be crawled after changes and google would let me submit for re-indexing, but it's all fine now. Thanks for your help!
