Evisu, often referred to as the “God of Denim,” is one of the most influential streetwear and denim brands to emerge from Japan. Founded in 1991 by Hidehiko Yamane in Osaka, the brand was born out of a passion for authenticity, heritage, and craftsmanship. At a time when denim was becoming increasingly commercialized, Yamane set out to revive the artistry of traditional Japanese denim-making—handcrafting jeans that carried soul, history, and originality.
